ARK's Goshabunga - Large Grabber - Textured

ARK's Textured Grabber® has been an indispensable tool for sensory oral motor needs for over 20 years. Now, it comes in a larger version specifically designed for adults! While adults can also use the original model, this Goshabunga version offers a significantly larger loop that comfortably fits larger hands. This model is also slightly thicker, and the stem is approximately 0.76 cm longer.

The Goshabunga Grabber is a safe alternative to chewing on one's own hands, shirts, pencils, and the like. It's not only designed to reduce unwanted chewing habits but also as an effective oral motor therapy tool. It can be used to practice biting and chewing skills without the risk of choking, develop jaw strength and stability, and train the mouth muscles.

Like all ARK chew products, the Goshabunga Grabber is available in three color-coded hardness levels. The soft or standard level is ideal for light chewing and for those with a low oral tone or limited jaw strength just starting to bite and chew. These are the softest with the most flexibility. The XT or medium firm level, which stands for "Xtra Tough", is firmer but still flexible. This level is recommended for moderate chewers. Lastly, there is the XXT or very firm level, which stands for "Xtra Xtra Tough". These offer the most resistance to the jaw and are the most durable option for avid chewing.

In terms of dimensions, the original Textured Grabber® is about 12.7 cm long, just under 4.83 cm at the loop/handle, and 1.12 cm thick. The Goshabunga version measures about 17.27 cm in length, 5.33 cm across the loop, and 1.17 cm thick.

But what does "Goshabunga" mean? It's a term coined long ago by John Lowsky and means 'really big'. Manufactured in the USA by ARK Therapeutic, this Grabber is of medical grade and complies with FDA standards. It contains no harmful substances like lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex. Please note, this product is not a toy. While it's sturdy and durable, it won't last forever, especially with intensive use. It's important to inspect the product regularly for wear and replace it if necessary. It offers a safe way to chew and is also an essential tool for oral motor or feeding therapy.
