The Sip-Tip® cup is an innovative solution, similar to the Cip-Kup™, that simplifies drinking for individuals who struggle with sucking and maintaining suction. This convenient cup is ideal for both home use and professional care settings such as elder care, where drinking can be a challenge.

With the Sip-Tip®, an individual can drink independently from the straw, or a caregiver can assist by "pumping" the fluid up with the flexible lid. This is done by covering the vent hole with your finger and pressing down several times until the fluid reaches the desired height. The Select-Flow valve keeps the straw filled with fluid, reducing air intake and the effort required for each sip. The valve also slows down the flow of fluid, allowing more control over the amount taken with each sip and ensuring the fluid is deposited at the front of the mouth. Users experience less coughing and choking and consume more fluids.

The valve opening is set for moderate restriction when purchased, suitable for users who risk aspiration when taking in too much fluid at once. The valve can be trimmed to increase the flow, further reducing the effort required to drink. The lids securely fit onto the sturdy, high-quality tumblers to minimize spillage, and the tumblers have graduated markings to monitor fluid intake. The set includes: 1 eight-ounce tumbler, 1 spill-resistant lid, 1 Select-Flow Valve, 10 regular straws, and 1 Lip Blok® (yellow, 3/4"). The Lip Blok® prevents individuals from biting the straw or inserting it too far into the mouth. This helps prevent gagging and ensures fluid is deposited at the front of the mouth, where it is easier to manage orally.

The Sip-Tip® is made in the USA, FDA compliant, and free from BPA, PVC, lead, phthalates, and latex. All parts are dishwasher-safe and available separately. It holds 8 ounces of liquid and measures approximately 4.5 inches tall with a 2-inch diameter at the base and a 3-inch diameter at the top. It is not recommended for carbonated beverages and is best used for thin liquids like water, milk, juice without pulp, etc. For thickened liquids, "nectar" consistency works well. If you trim the tapered end of the valve to open up the flow, "honey" will work but will be harder to suck through the straw. "Pudding" does not work, as it is too thick to drink through even a regular straw without a valve. It is compatible with most standard .25-inch diameter straws, should you need more in the future.
