Metal Insert Figures

Each set contains 10 metal insert figures and corresponding frames in various shapes such as a triangle, square, rectangle, trapezoid, pentagon, egg shape, circle, ellipse, circular arc triangle, and quatrefoil. These figures were specially designed by Maria Montessori, who meticulously observed how children traced patterns to perfect this activity.

The insert figures offer children the opportunity to develop and refine their pencil grip. This aids in the development of their fine motor skills and teaches them to draw accurately within the contours. The shape of the insert figures serves as natural error control, indirectly teaching children to concentrate and develop a sense of order.

Key learning objectives achieved with this material include practicing the correct pencil grip (pincer grip), learning to work accurately with pencils, preparing for writing exercises, training writing movements, and improving eye-hand coordination. The necessary hand and finger movements for tracing these shapes are perfectly aligned with the development of the pencil grip and writing skills.
