For anyone with a need to chew, Senso-Care offers the ARK Therapeutic Amsterdammertje pencil topper as the safe solution. Chewing can be a highly effective way to calm down, self-regulate, and concentrate, especially during tasks like homework or note-taking. These chewing aids are a perfect addition. A pleasant side effect is that they add extra weight to the pencil, promoting increased hand awareness and proper pencil positioning.
Each topper is solid at one end for chewing, hollow at the other to easily fit over standard #2 pencils, and textured all around for added tactile input. Just like all other ARK chewing products, they are available in 3 color-coded toughness levels:
No chewing tool is indestructible, but this level usually lasts the longest for avid chewers. Choose your desired option from the menu. Each topper is sold individually with its own free eraser-less pencil. Color shades may vary slightly. Each topper measures just over 2.5" in length and about 0.5" in diameter.
Please note: the bottom part of these toppers is hollow to fit pencils, so they are not recommended for enthusiastic/aggressive chewers. The best options for avid chewers are our solid XXT chewing tools. It's best to use them with eraser-less pencils (one is included for free with each topper). Caution: This product is not a toy. Recommended for children aged 6-7 years and up (the age when children typically start using a standard pencil). While these chewing tools are robust and durable, no chewing tool is indestructible. Wear and tear can be expected given the intended use. Always supervise, inspect the chewing tool regularly, and replace it if necessary if it shows signs of wear and tear.
