How do I order my larvae?
Order your larvae postage-free with the voucher by using the voucher code printed on it at the link specified. Remember to specify when you want to receive your larvae. You can give a desired date between March and October.

Note: we always ship the larvae at the beginning of the week, otherwise they would be in transportation for an unnecessarily long period over the weekend. Consequently, larvae deliveries are usually made from the middle of the requested calendar week. You can redeem the voucher at any time of the year, however, the larvae will only be sent from mid-March to early October (depending on weather conditions).

In terms of your planning, please remember: it takes about 1-2 weeks after receiving your ladybird larvae for them to pupate. Around 1 week later your ladybirds will emerge. You will need to plan around 30 days for the entire project.

Keeping the ladybirds: the breeding vivarium supplied provides ideal development conditions for the ladybird larvae to ensure lots of ladybirds emerge. Once the ladybirds have hatched, they can be kept in the vivarium for about 1 week.

Interesting fact about this variety: native two-spot ladybirds (Adalia bipunctata) are very widespread across the whole of Europe. They grow to about 3.5-5.5 mm in length and come in two varieties: red with two black spots, or black with four to six red spots. The ravenous larvae consume about 150 aphids per day. After moulting 4 times, the larvae pupate.

  • To give as a gift with a voucher for the larvae
  • With everything that's needed for breeding
  • Incl. fabulous additional materials
  • Larvae not included in the set - shipping will take place free of charge on the desired date, once the voucher is redeemed

Remember: as in nature, it is possible that not all the larvae will survive.
